About

Grandi means growth.

In Haitian Creole, grandi speaks to growth — to grow, growing, growth. Its meaning takes shape through how it is used.

There’s something fitting about that.

Growth doesn’t always look the same, either. Sometimes we choose it. Sometimes life chooses it for us. And as our lives change, we have to change with them.

Every next chapter asks us to grow in some way.

And growth needs fuel.

Sometimes that’s financial support. Sometimes it’s something practical. Sometimes it’s an introduction, advice, time, a resource—or simply having someone beside you while you figure out what comes next.

GRANDI gives your village a place to help fuel your growth, whatever shape it takes.

GRANDI started with a chapter of my own.

In 2023, I went through a devastating breakup.

Suddenly, I had to figure out what life was going to look like without a partner. I moved back into my apartment—thank God I had kept it throughout the relationship—and found myself starting over in ways both big and surprisingly small.

My apartment had been mostly empty for three years. There was no blender. I needed an air fryer ASAP, along with pots and pans and the everyday things that make a space feel like home again.

But that wasn’t all I needed.

I needed boxes and a hug. Closet organizers and a shoulder to cry on.

I needed a lot, and I didn’t really know how to ask for any of it.

Part of me was embarrassed that this chapter of my life was ending. And there wasn’t an obvious place to say: This is what’s happening. This is what I’m going through. And these are the ways you can help me through it.

I kept wishing I could make a registry for the transition.

A GoFundMe didn’t feel right. This wasn’t a life-threatening tragedy—just a heartbreaking one. And sending around an Amazon wishlist felt empty. The things I needed went far beyond things.

So I started that next chapter alone.

The idea for GRANDI came from wondering:

Why do we make it so easy for communities to show up for some of life’s chapters, but leave people to figure out so many others on their own?

GRANDI is my answer.

A place to tell your story, say what would actually help, and give the people who care about you an easy way to show up.

Life is full of next chapters. Every chapter has a village.

Your next chapter might look completely different.

GRANDI began with my story, but it was never meant to be about just one kind of transition.

Your next chapter might be something you’ve worked toward for years. It might be something you never saw coming. It might be exciting, terrifying, heartbreaking—or somehow all three.

Maybe you’re moving somewhere new. Starting a business. Graduating. Changing careers. Going back to school. Rebuilding after something ended. Taking a leap. Finding your footing.

Whatever it is, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you let your people in.

Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t knowing who cares about you.

It’s knowing how to let them help.

That’s what GRANDI is here for.

To give your next chapter a place to be told.
To give your needs a place to be named.
And to give your village a way to show up.

So, what chapter are you in?
