Terms & Conditions

Grandi is a platform operated by ForGrandi LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Grandi,” “we,” “us”). These Terms apply to everyone who uses Grandi: chapter creators, villagers and contributors, and visitors.

1. Accepting these Terms

By creating an account, contributing to a chapter, or otherwise using Grandi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Grandi.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to have a Grandi account, and you confirm that when you create one. Financial features may carry additional eligibility, identity or age requirements set by our payment provider. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us.

3. What Grandi is — and is not

Grandi is a place to tell your people what is changing in your life and to give them clear ways to show up. Grandi is not a bank, lender, escrow agent, charity, registered fundraising platform, or financial adviser. We are not a party to the relationship between a chapter creator and the people who support them, and we do not guarantee that anyone will show up or that any goal will be met.

4. Creating a chapter

You are responsible for what you publish in a chapter and for choosing its visibility. You may edit or delete your chapters at any time.

5. Honesty about what you are asking for

Requests for support must be truthful. Do not misrepresent your circumstances, your identity, what support is for, or how it will be used. Deceptive requests may be removed and the account behind them suspended.

6. Your content, and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of everything you create on Grandi: your story, your photos and videos, your ways to show up. By posting it, you grant ForGrandi LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, transmit, secure and back up that content solely as needed to operate, provide, secure and improve Grandi for you and the people you share it with.

That licence does not let us use your chapter or your story in marketing, advertising or public promotion. If we would ever like to feature your story, we will ask you and use it only with your permission.

7. Visibility and sharing

You choose whether a chapter is reachable by link, gated by a passcode, or private, and our Privacy Policy explains precisely what each option does. You are responsible for who you share a link or passcode with. Anyone able to view a chapter can copy or forward what they see.

8. Villager responsibilities

If you support someone’s chapter, provide accurate information, use payment methods you are authorised to use, and treat the person and their story with respect. Offers of practical help are commitments between you and the chapter creator; Grandi does not supervise, verify or guarantee them.

9. Financial contributions

A contribution supports the chapter creator directly. Grandi does not hold contributions as an intermediary, does not guarantee how a contribution will be used, and does not verify that a chapter creator will spend it as described. A contribution is not a charitable donation and is not tax-deductible.

10. Payment processing and connected accounts

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Card details are collected by that provider on its own pages; Grandi never receives them. A chapter creator who wishes to receive contributions must complete that provider’s onboarding, which may require identity verification, banking details and other information. Any agreement a chapter creator accepts with the payment provider is separate from these Terms and is not acceptance of them, and accepting these Terms is not acceptance of the provider’s agreements.

11. Platform fees

Grandi charges a platform fee in connection with financial contributions. The applicable Grandi Support fee is disclosed before you confirm your contribution. Payment processing fees charged by our payment provider may also apply and are deducted from the amount paid out to the chapter creator. We may change our fees; any change applies to contributions made after it takes effect and is always shown before you confirm.

12. Payouts

Contributions are paid to the chapter creator’s connected account with our payment provider, on the schedule and subject to the requirements that provider applies. Grandi does not control payout timing and does not hold funds on a creator’s behalf.

13. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks

Financial contributions are generally final. If you believe a contribution was made in error or there is another reason it should be refunded, contact us at Legal@forgrandi.com. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

If Grandi approves a full refund, we will refund the full amount you paid for that contribution, including the applicable Grandi Support fee. If Grandi approves a partial refund, the Grandi Support fee is not refunded. Refunds are processed through our payment provider and the time it takes for funds to appear may depend on your financial institution.

Disputes, chargebacks, reversals and other payment-provider processes may be subject to additional rules and procedures.

14. Product links

A chapter may link to products sold by third parties. Those retailers are independent of Grandi; their prices, availability, delivery, returns and policies are theirs, and we are not responsible for your transactions with them.

15. Taxes

You are responsible for determining and meeting any tax obligations that arise from contributions you receive or support you give. Grandi does not provide tax advice.

16. Prohibited activity

You agree not to:

• misrepresent yourself, your circumstances, or what support is for;
• use Grandi for anything unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, hateful or exploitative;
• post content you do not have the right to post;
• attempt to access chapters, media or accounts that are not yours;
• interfere with, probe, scrape or overload the service;
• impersonate anyone or misuse another person’s story;
• use Grandi to solicit for anything other than the chapter you created.

17. Contributions must run through Grandi

Where Grandi provides a way to contribute financially, you may not use chapter fields, stories, notes or media to route financial contributions around Grandi’s contribution system — for example by posting payment handles, payment QR codes, or direct payment instructions — in order to avoid applicable fees or platform controls. This does not restrict legitimate product links or other external links Grandi expressly permits.

18. Moderation

We may review, limit, remove or restrict access to content or chapters that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or the law, or that put people at risk. We are not obliged to monitor content, and we do not endorse what people publish.

19. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and forms part of your agreement with us.

20. Grandi’s intellectual property

The Grandi name, wordmark, design, and the software behind the service belong to ForGrandi LLC. These Terms do not give you a right to use them beyond using Grandi as intended.

21. No professional advice

Nothing on Grandi is financial, legal, tax, medical or other professional advice. Prompts, suggested ways to show up and example wording are there to help you tell your story, not to advise you.

22. No guarantee of support or outcomes

Grandi does not guarantee that anyone will view your chapter, offer help, or contribute, or that any goal you set will be reached.

23. Availability

We aim to keep Grandi running, but the service is provided as-is and may be interrupted, changed or discontinued. We may add, modify or remove features.

24. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Grandi at any time and may ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, presents a risk to others, or is required to be closed by law or by our payment provider.

25. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grandi is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any information on it is accurate or complete.

26. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ForGrandi LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Grandi, whether based in contract, tort or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

27. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ForGrandi LLC and its members, officers and agents from claims, damages, losses and reasonable expenses arising out of your content, your use of Grandi, or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law.

28. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the effective date and version above, and where the change is significant we will make a reasonable effort to tell you. Continuing to use Grandi after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

29. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
