Privacy Policy
Effective September 11, 2026 · Last updated September 12, 2026 · Version 2026-09-12
Grandi is a platform operated by ForGrandi LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Grandi,” “we,” “us”). Grandi helps you tell the people in your life what’s changing and gives them clear ways to show up. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this covers
This policy applies to three groups of people:
- Chapter creators — people who create a chapter on Grandi.
- Villagers and contributors — people who visit a chapter and offer support, including financial contributions.
- Visitors — anyone else browsing Grandi.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google in order to create and authenticate your account. We also record that you certified you are at least 16 years old and which versions of our Terms and this Privacy Policy you accepted, along with when you accepted them. We do not collect your date of birth.
Chapter content
Whatever you choose to put in a chapter: its title, type, your story, and any optional date or location. Chapters are yours to write; please only include details you are comfortable sharing with the people you send the chapter to.
Photos and video
If you add a photo or video to a chapter, we store that file and a reference to it. Media is stored privately and served through short-lived links that are issued only after we check that the viewer is allowed to see the chapter.
Ways to show up
The support needs you create: gifts, contribution goals, and practical help, including any product links you add and the basic product details we retrieve from those links.
Villager and supporter information
When someone supports a chapter, we collect what they provide:
- their name;
- their email address, when they choose to provide one;
- an optional note or message;
- which way to show up they selected, and the quantity or amount.
A supporter does not need a Grandi account to show up for someone. If they make a financial contribution, an email address they provide is also passed to our payment provider so a receipt can be sent.
Contribution and transaction information
For financial contributions we store the contribution amount, the Grandi Support fee, the currency, the payment status, and identifiers from our payment provider that let us match a payment to a chapter. We never receive or store card numbers. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider on their own secure checkout.
Connected payment accounts
A chapter creator who wants to receive financial contributions completes onboarding with our payment provider. Identity details, government identification, tax details and bank account information are collected by the payment provider, not by Grandi. Grandi stores only the identifier of the connected account and whether it is able to accept contributions.
Technical and security information
Like any website, our infrastructure processes technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, and request logs. We use this to keep Grandi running, to diagnose problems, and to detect fraud and abuse.
Cookies
Grandi does not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers. We use cookies and similar browser storage for what the product needs to work: keeping you signed in and remembering small interface preferences. Our payment provider may set its own cookies on its checkout pages under its own policies.
Messages to us
If you email us for support or with a legal or privacy request, we keep that correspondence and whatever you include in it.
How we use information
- to provide Grandi and keep your account working;
- to authenticate you and secure your account;
- to create, edit and display your chapters;
- to enforce the visibility you chose for each chapter;
- to help your village understand how to show up and to coordinate that support;
- to facilitate financial contributions and payment-account onboarding;
- to prevent fraud, abuse and misuse, and to protect people using Grandi;
- to answer support requests;
- to understand how Grandi is used, at an aggregate level, so we can improve it;
- to comply with the law and to enforce our Terms.
Chapter visibility
You choose who can see each chapter. It is worth understanding exactly what each choice does.
Anyone with the link
Anyone who has the chapter’s unique link can open it. A link is not a password: if it is forwarded, posted, or found, whoever holds it can view the chapter. Choose this when you are comfortable with the chapter being seen by anyone the link reaches.
People I invite
The chapter requires both the link and the correct passcode. The passcode is stored hashed, not in readable form. Please keep in mind that anyone you give the link and passcode to can pass them on to someone else; Grandi cannot prevent that.
Private
A private chapter is not shown to other people through the normal Grandi experience — only you, signed in to your account, can see it. That said, we will not claim that no one else can ever access it. Limited, authorised access by Grandi personnel or by service providers acting for us may occur when reasonably necessary for customer support, operating and maintaining the platform, safety and security, preventing fraud or abuse, or complying with the law. This is not routine browsing; our people do not read private chapters out of curiosity.
What chapter creators can see about supporters
If you support a chapter, the person who created that chapter can see the name you gave, the email address if you provided one, your note, the way to show up you chose, and the relevant contribution details. Other villagers do not see your email address or your private contact details.
Media and access controls
We apply access controls that match the visibility of the chapter a photo or video belongs to. We cannot promise absolute confidentiality: anyone who is permitted to view something can still screenshot it, record it, copy it, or pass it along. Share accordingly.
Product links and leaving Grandi
A chapter creator may link to products sold by third-party retailers. When you follow one of those links you leave Grandi, and anything that happens on the retailer’s site is governed by that retailer’s own terms and privacy practices. Grandi does not provide a chapter creator’s shipping address to retailers or to villagers, and does not place orders on anyone’s behalf.
Payments
Grandi is not a bank. We facilitate financial contributions through a third-party payment provider that processes the payment, collects card details on its own pages, and handles payouts to a chapter creator’s connected account. That provider’s handling of your information is governed by its own terms and privacy practices, in addition to this policy.
How we share information
- With the chapter creator — the supporter information described above.
- With service providers — hosting, database, storage, email and payment providers who process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations.
- For legal reasons — when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights or safety of people using Grandi.
- In a business transfer — if Grandi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and deletion
You can delete a chapter at any time from your dashboard, which removes its content and its ways to show up from Grandi. There is currently no self-service way to delete your entire account; email Legal@forgrandi.com and we will handle it.
Some information outlives a deletion request. We keep transaction records where the law requires it, records relevant to fraud, security or abuse, and information in routine backups for a limited period before those backups age out.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email Legal@forgrandi.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, so that no one can use this process to reach someone else’s information. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls that follow each chapter’s visibility, private media storage with short-lived links, hashed passcodes, and payment handling delegated to a specialist provider. No service can promise perfect security, and we do not.
Age
You must be at least 16 years old to have a Grandi account, and we ask you to confirm that when you create one. Financial features may carry additional eligibility or age requirements imposed by our payment provider. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy we will change the effective date and version above, and where the change is significant we will make a reasonable effort to tell you.
